Overview
Life Node's Health module helps you understand sleep, weight, and wellness trends as part of your daily brief. This policy describes how health-related data is collected, used, stored, and shared when you use Life Node on the web or iOS companion app.
Life Node is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions.
Data we collect
Apple Health (iOS). With your explicit permission via HealthKit, the Life Hub iOS app may read:
- Sleep analysis (duration and stages where available)
- Body mass (weight)
We do not write data back to Apple Health unless you explicitly enable a feature that requires it.
Withings and other health modules. If you connect a health module (e.g. Withings), we receive metrics that module exposes — such as weight, sleep summaries, and medication reminders — according to the permissions you grant.
How we use health data
We use health data solely to:
- Display sleep and weight trends in your Life Node dashboard
- Generate daily brief summaries and wellness alerts
- Surface cross-domain insights (e.g. sleep patterns before deadlines)
- Sync health snapshots between your iOS device and Life Node backend
We do not use health data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
How data flows
On iOS, health data read from Apple Health is processed locally on your device. When you sync, a health snapshot is sent to the Life Node backend via an encrypted connection using your Health Module API key. The snapshot is stored in your Supabase database and used to power the web app and daily brief.
You control when sync happens. Disconnecting the Apple Health bridge stops future syncs from your device.
Storage and security
Health snapshots are stored in your Life Node database with the same security controls as other account data, including encryption in transit and row-level access policies. Your Health Module API key is stored securely in the iOS Keychain.
Sharing
We do not share your health data with third parties except:
- Infrastructure providers necessary to operate the Service (e.g. Supabase hosting), bound by confidentiality obligations
- When required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security
Connected modules you authorize may receive health-related alerts or tasks as part of normal Life Node operation, but only within the scope of your module connections.
Your choices
You can revoke Apple Health access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Life Hub. You can disconnect the health module in Life Node Connections. You can delete stored health snapshots by disconnecting the module and clearing synced data.
